Why I Created The Confidence Lab

Confidence grows through practice, and practice feels safer when it’s playful.

What helped me wasn’t coaching, books, or being surrounded by highly confident people.

For most of my life, I struggled with confidence, despite spending many years in leadership roles and suffered every day.

What helped was finding safe spaces where people could practise.

Public speaking groups, improv sessions and workshops where making mistakes wasn’t a failure – it was part of the process. We used simple exercises, games and sometimes ridiculous scenarios to take the pressure off and make learning feel safer.

One of the biggest lessons I learned was that you don’t need to be surrounded by confident people to build confidence. Often, it helps more to be with people who are nervous, uncertain and learning too.

That’s what The Confidence Lab is designed to be.

A practical, supportive space where women can try things out, laugh, make mistakes, and gradually become more comfortable speaking up, thinking on their feet and stepping outside their comfort zone.

Practice. Not perfection.

Why Confidence Matters

The goal of The Confidence Lab isn’t to turn anyone into the loudest person in the room.

Life Skills

Confidence isn’t about public speaking.

It affects how we show up at work, in relationships, socially, and in everyday situations.

A lack of confidence can stop us from speaking up in meetings, expressing our opinions, trying new things, setting boundaries, meeting new people, applying for opportunities, or taking the next step in our lives.his is the 1st benefit description, explaining its value and importance while highlighting how it positively impacts users and enhances overall experience.

Widening Your Horizon

These workshops help people become a little more comfortable speaking up, taking part, handling uncertainty and doing things they might otherwise avoid.

Because confidence isn’t something you’re born with.

It’s something you build through practice.

Play helps Learning

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that people often learn best when they’re relaxed enough to experiment. That’s why The Confidence Lab includes practical exercises, role-play and a sense of playfulness. When we’re laughing, learning and trying things out together, the pressure comes down and confidence has room to grow.
